The next talk: Professor Sylvie Monniaux (Aix-Marseille Université (AMU))

Title of the talk: “The magnetohydrodynamical system in non smooth domains”

Time: Thursday, 5 of December, 21:00 - 22:00 (Shanghai time), 14:00 - 15:00 (Rome and Paris time), 13:00 -14:00 (London time), 15:00 - 16:00 (Vilnius and Tel-Aviv time), 8:00-- 9:00 a.m. (US ET), 10:00--11:00 a.m. (Chile Santiago time).

Abstract:
We study the existence of solutions of the MHD system (a coupling between a fluid and a magnetic field) in open subsets in 3 dimensions with Lipschitz regularity at the boundary.
We formulate the problem with the help of differential forms which helps understanding the mathematical problem and the boundary conditions.
The method employed to show existence of solutions is weighted maximal regularity for the linear part of the problem and a fixed point theorem to treat the non linear part.

The seminar is organized by Fudan University (Shanghai, China) with the collaboration of Universita degli studi della Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli" (Caserta, Italy) and Vilnius University (Vilnius, Lithuania). This seminar is meant to gather renowned experts working on Geometric and Real Analysis with applications to PDEs and Mathematical Physics and represents an opportunity for presenting high-impact research, as well as facilitating the exchange of ideas between researchers. Lectures are scheduled on Thursdays, by ZOOM, with 60 minutes every talk.
