The speaker: Professor Tobias Barker (University of Bath, UK)

Title of the talk:  “Failure of Liouville type theorems and potential 'type I' singularities of the Navier-Stokes equations”.

Time: Thursday, 5 of May, 16:00 - 17:00.

Abstract. It is known that if a solution of the 3D Navier-Stokes equations loses smoothness, then there necessarily exists a non-zero bounded solution defined on the whole backward time interval.
In this talk, I will focus on the reverse implication. Joint work with Dallas Albritton (IAS).
