During the festive season, the Vilnius University (VU) Culture Centre invites both citizens and visitors of the capital city to enjoy the magical atmosphere of holiday anticipation through an inspiring program of musical events.
Implementing MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) at Vilnius University is progressing well. Currently, 60.5% of all users (staff and students) authenticate via MFA to access the university’s information systems.
The Lithuanian Science Council has announced a call for international internships at the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in autumn 2025, where students will be able to gain unique knowledge and practical experience. These NASA internships are designed to encourage the participation of students in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) programmes in international projects and to develop their skills in research and experimental development in space technology. Talented students will have the opportunity to carry out scientific internships at NASA research centres: NASA Ames Research Centre (California), NASA Goddard Space Flight Centre (Maryland), and NASA Johnson Space Centre (Texas). Lithuania is one of 13 countries participating in this international internship programme.

17 November is International Students’ Day. In parallel to this day, the oldest and largest expert educational organisation representing students, the Vilnius University Students' Representation, will celebrate its 35th birthday. To celebrate this important day for students, we invite you to take part in the following initiatives organised by VU SR.
This Arqus online workshop, organised by the University of Minho, is part of the activities of the PBL4COLLABTT project (PBL Framework for digital collaborative teacher training). In this session, participants will have the opportunity to explore Project-Based Learning (PBL) from conceptual clarification to practical implementation.
On 28–29 October, we invite all Vilnius University (VU) academic staff members with voting rights to participate in the VU Council election. Voting will take place at designated locations.
