The first day featured a visit from our partner Oracle, who delivered a series of engaging and insightful presentations centered on artificial intelligence models. These sessions offered valuable perspectives on the latest advancements in AI, showcasing real-world applications, cutting-edge solutions, and emerging trends. The day provided an excellent opportunity for knowledge exchange and deeper collaboration with one of our key industry partners.

"Quantum technologies are like the key to a new world, where we can do things that seemed impossible before," says Prof. Dr. Remigijus Paulavičius, Vice Dean of Science at Vilnius universiy, faculty of Mathematics and Informatics (VU MIF). These technologies have the potential to be used to diagnose diseases, develop medicines and more sustainable energy, or control pollution, transforming our lives in a way that the internet and smartphones once did.

We would like to invite you to the seminar "Quantum Computing Today: Fundamentals, Challenges and Outreach". Speaker dr. Abuzer Yakaryilmaz from the University of Latvia says: "In this seminar we provide an accessible overview of the fundamentals of quantum computing, introducing key concepts and recent developments in the field. We briefly discuss the state of available quantum hardware, highlighting the main technological platforms and their capabilities.

Vilnius University (VU) invites school students and everyone interested in studies to take part in the traditional event “Student for a Day,” taking place on April 14–18.

Cybersecurity is becoming one of the most relevant topics in the contemporary world as the demand for professionals capable of protecting the digital space from ever more complex threats grows. A number of Master’s students from around the world have come to study at Vilnius University (VU) this semester in order to gain cutting-edge knowledge and international experience. They participate in the Master programme in international cybersecurity and cyberintelligence which is jointly implemented by four ARQUS Alliance Universities: Granada (Spain), Minho (Portugal), Padua (Italy), and Vilnius (Lithuania).

We invite final year undergraduate students, postgraduate students and those who have already graduated from Master's studies to participate in the scientific conference "Lithuanian MSc Research in Informatics and ICT". The aim of the conference is to allow young people to present their MSc thesis research to colleagues from other universities. The event is open to a wide range of research and applications in computer science and IT. The conference is organised by the Institute of Data Science and Digital Technologies of VU MIF and the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences.
