We invite applications for the Vilnius University Rector Jonas Kubilius Named Scholarship. The scholarship established in 2014 by the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics (VU MIF) and the Association “Vilnius University Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics Alumni Society” (VU MIF ALUMNI).
The aim of the scholarship is to encourage first- and second-cycle (Bachelor’s and Master’s) students of VU MIF for outstanding academic achievements and active involvement that enhances the reputation of the Faculty.
All Bachelor’s and Master’s students of VU MIF study programmes who:
- demonstrate strong academic performance and have no outstanding academic obligations, and
- are highly active and contribute to promoting the Faculty
are eligible to apply.
Students wishing to apply for the “VU Rector Jonas Kubilius” Named Scholarship must submit a free-form application via the University Study Information System (is.vu.lt), in the e-Requests section, by March 31. The subject line of the application must state: “I am applying for the VU Rector Jonas Kubilius Named Scholarship.”
The following documents must be attached to the e-application in PDF format:
- a detailed description of scientific or community activities carried out over the past two years (e.g., participation in competitions, olympiads, research internships, research projects);
- an official transcript of academic results from the last two semesters (for first-year students – from the first semester);
- letters of recommendation (optional).
Applications will be evaluated by a selection committee, which will make its decision by April 15.
