17 November is International Students’ Day. In parallel to this day, the oldest and largest expert educational organisation representing students, the Vilnius University Students' Representation, will celebrate its 35th birthday. To celebrate this important day for students, we invite you to take part in the following initiatives organised by VU SR.

On 16 November, 11:30, in the SPA Auditorium, VU Central Hall (Universiteto str. 3), the first part of VU SR's 35th birthday celebration will take place, where the year of the Organisation's activities will be reviewed. Also, during this part of the event, the exhibition "Dormitory through the Lens", which will reflect images of student life in the dormitories, will be opened in the corridor of the Central Hall to commemorate International Students’ Day. The author of the exhibition – Ugnius Bagdonavičius. The event will also create the history of VU SR through a time capsule, which will become a starting point for future generations.

On 16 November, there will also be an evening part of the VU SR 35th birthday party. During this part of the celebration, the organisation will invite its members, alumni and friends to spend time together and celebrate 35 years of activity.

On 21 November, on the International Students' Day, VU SR is organising two initiatives: a Trivia Game and a Scientific Initiatives Fair. The International Students' Day Trivia Game is an opportunity to play in one team with a VU lecturer, who will be randomly assigned on the day of the event. You can register for the trivia game with your team or individually. During the Scientific Initiatives Fair at the VU Joint Hall (Saulėtekis av. 9), students will have the opportunity to get a closer look at the scientific initiatives that are active at the University, to ask questions, and to find out about the possibilities of carrying out activities at Vilnius University.

In celebration of the International Students' Day and VU SR 35th birthday, we invite the University community and friends to get involved in the initiatives and events organised by VU SR. These celebrations symbolize not only the history and achievements of VU SR, butalso the joint contribution of all  members of the University in creating an open environment for the independent development of the student(s) within the united Vilnius University community.
