Starting from September 2026, Vilnius University (VU) is offering Lithuania's first and only MA programme in Bioinformatics. Taught in English at the VU Life Sciences Centre, the programme is run jointly with the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics.

The programme prepares graduates to work at the intersection of informatics and the life sciences. Students gain hands-on experience analysing biological data, building computational tools, and tackling real biological challenges using bioinformatics, machine learning, and AI methods.
