We invite final year undergraduate students, postgraduate students and those who have already graduated from Master's studies to participate in the scientific conference "Lithuanian MSc Research in Informatics and ICT". The aim of the conference is to allow young people to present their MSc thesis research to colleagues from other universities. The event is open to a wide range of research and applications in computer science and IT. The conference is organised by the Institute of Data Science and Digital Technologies of VU MIF and the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences.

Students will be able to indicate in their master's or bachelor's thesis that the research results were presented at the conference and published in the conference proceedings. This may be taken into account in the assessment of the thesis. Attending a conference can be very useful for those considering further studies – when applying for a PhD, applicants are often assessed on whether they have published research papers.

How does it work? Papers are due by 6 April and should be submitted to olga.kurasova@mif.vu.lt. There are two types of articles: a 4-6 page article or a short 2 page article. Articles can be in English or Lithuanian. The article template can be downloaded here. A conference proceedings will be published before the conference. The proceedings of the previous conference can be found here.

Do not miss the dates:

2025-04-06 Submission of articles
2025-04-25 Notification of acceptance of articles
2025-05-06 Announcement of the conference programme
2025-05-13 Conference

There is no conference registration fee.

The final event will take place on 13 May at the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences (Gedimino Ave. 3, Vilnius).
