Representatives of the Faculty of History of Vilnius University invite participants to a workshop where they will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with a special heraldic language and design their own coat of arms. Heraldic rules exist not only in reality, but also in fiction: coats of arms and their symbolism are an integral part of epic fictional classics such as The Lord of the Rings – Middle-earth, the seven kingdoms of Game of Thrones, the newly adapted Dune universe, or Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the well-known saga of the Harry Potter series.

The Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of Vilnius University invites you to a catechism full of intellectual and creative challenges and tasks. The participants of the "Scientific pick-up lines" competition will have one minute to formulate a pick-up line using a word from the fields of mathematics, informatics or natural sciences. Everyone is also invited to draw the faculty's symbol – a cat called Micius and, of course, to try to solve a maths problem. These are just some of the activities that the representatives of Vilnius University's Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science will offer to the visitors of this year's “Comic Con”.

Lecturers and students from the Institute of Asian and Transcultural Studies at the VU Faculty of Philosophy will invite you to try out several activities related to Asian and Middle Eastern cultures. On all days of the event, visitors to the VU stand will be able to write their names written in Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic or Hindi languages. On Friday afternoon there will be demonstrations of ebru, Turkish water painting, and henna hand-painting workshops and on Saturday afternoon there will be a real Turkish coffee tasting.

Another reason to visit the VU stand is the cyber security stop, where students and lecturers of the Information Systems and Cyber Security study programme of the Kaunas faculty of VU, together with representatives of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of VU, will allow young enthusiasts to test their knowledge. They will be able to try out a version of the cyber competition “Capture The Flag” adapted for the event.
