To contribute to the growth of talent, the international company Coherent Solutions has established incentive scholarships for students of Vilnius University Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics (VU MIF) who show the highest learning results.
"Our long-term strategic goal is to encourage young people to pursue a career in information technology. The IT market is highly competitive, but the demands on future employees are also growing. The strong theoretical foundation gained at university is the foundation for a future career, so this and other similar business initiatives are an additional incentive for students to achieve high results," says Lina Šiumetė, the company's Head of Lithuania.
L. Šiumetė says that the VU MIF student scholarships are allocated with a purpose: "Our company is constantly looking for programmers and data science specialists. We appreciate the quality and focus of studies at Vilnius University and decided to contribute to encouraging the most talented students educated here."
The scholarships are paid monthly from March to June. The best representative of each programme will receive 250 euros each month.
Students who have completed the first semester of their studies and have no debts or academic arrears are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
