Education

• Master. 1974-1979: Faculty of Mathematics of Vilnius University, studies of mathematics and computer science. Diploma in Applied Mathematics (Computer Science), 1979.
• Doctor. 1979-1984: Doctorate at the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics of Lomonosov Moscow State University. Dissertation: “Loop program synthesis over multidimensional data structures”. Doctor's degree diploma in 1985.
• Second master. 2001-2007: Studies of law at the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University and German law at the German Law Centre. Master's in Law diploma.

Professional activity

• Present: Teaching and research at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics. Assistant/associate professor since Dec. 1984.
• Nov. 2002 - Feb. 2004: EC 6^th Framework Programme national contact point for Information Society Technologies at the Agency for International Science and Technology Development Programmes under the Ministry of Science and Education of Lithuania (currently MITA).
