Vilnius University is to hold an international conference on analytic and probabilistic number theory in Palanga, the sea resort of Lithuania. The conference is dedicated to Professor Jonas Kubilius on the occasion of his 85th birthday. As in the previous three meetings held in 1991, 1996 and 2001, we expect that contributors will cover even a broader range of the contemporary number theory. A volume of conference proceedings, as ones of the first and of the second conferences, is planned to be published by TEV (Vilnius) and VSP (Utrecht). Palanga is situated at the 25 kilometers distance from Lithuanian port Klaipeda which has ferry-boat and train connection. Further rather often regular buses or taxi could be used to reach the conference site. A travel along picturesque highway from Vilnius to Palanga would take four hours. Palanga itself has an international airport but operating convenient flights after the summer season are pretty rear. At the end of September Palanga is a quiet small city. People after the exaustive summer season are walking in the nice pine park or enjoy a unique amber exposition in the museum, or just wait for the unforgetable sunsets on the sea coast. We hope you would also enjoy the stay in Palanga.
