The Second International Conference "Analytic and Probabilistic Methods in Number
Theory" was held in honour of Professor Jonas Kubilius on the occasion of his 75th
birthday, September 23-27, 1996 in Palanga Lithuania. Twenty-seven distinguished
mathematicians from Belorussia, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Japan,
Russia, Sweden and the USA joined 19 Lithuanian colleagues and their celebrating leader.
The proceedings of the second Palanga Conference appeared in the series New Trends
in Probability and Statistics and contains most of the 46 talks delivered
at the conference. |
