Success stories

In this section you will find a few stories of our graduates. We hope they will provide some guidance when choosing your future occupation.

Egidijus, Lithuania, "Exacaster"

egidijus

I joined Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics in 2005. At that time I was sure I like math and complex problem solving. At the end of the first year I won company's "Bitė Lietuva" contest for development of new ideas in the field of telecommunications and became a trainee at their company.  I was very intrested in Machine Learning and Artificial Inteligent algorithms, so I started working with professor Pranas Vaitkus. That period was very intensive since I had to cope with chalenges at work and  studies. However, knowledge and skills gained recompensed my efforts. Consequently,  in 2011 together with my partner we established a company named „Exacaster“ and began to develop customers' behavior prediction algorithms and tools for telecommunication companies. We were the first in Lithuania who started to use Hadoop technology for big data managament. During first four years we expanded the number of employees from 2 to 20 and our clients spread over three continents. We are leaders in Baltic region in analysis of big data.

In 2015 the president of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė announced „Exacaster" as "Knowledge Economy Company 2014".
