Interaction with models

These 3D models are interactive. There are several levels of interactivity:

  • the standard VRML navigation;
  • additional special facilities for moving control points in prescribed directions or in planes that are parallel to pairs of coordinate axis.

Here we describe shortly the latter navigation features.

All our examples involve surfaces with collections of small red balls (control points) connected by blue lines: A control point

Control points can be activated by plane sensors, i.e. one can move them by the mouse (click and drag). The given control point is moving in the plane which is parallel to the small green square (in the left-bottom corner of the screen):

the small square

One can rotate the square about the red central ball to other two perpendicular positions by clicking on an appropriate small violet box.
